The Dirty Twelve

In April 1980, Jane became the first female detective assigned to the Metropolitan Police's notorious Flying Squad, known as "The Sweeney." Based in Ridge Approach, East London, she investigated armed robberies of banks, cash transport, and other commercial premises. Jane thought her transfer was based on her merits, but was surprised to discover she was actually part of a short-term internal experiment, intended to moderate a team calling itself the "Dirty Twelve." The men in the squad don't believe a woman is up to the risks they face when dealing with some of London's most brutal criminals, who believe the only good cop is a dead cop. Determined to prove she's as good as the men, Jane learns from a reliable witness that a gang is about to pull off a massive heist involving millions of pounds.
