Mina has been fighting for justice ever since—for her daughters, and for all of us, by challenging the toxic culture of the Met Police and exposing the wider institutionalized misogyny, racism, and classism in Britain. Now, Mina is telling her story for the first time. From her childhood in foster care to the present day, Mina looks back on her time as a teacher, then as the first Black woman to serve as an Archdeacon in the Church of England, before sharing her experience of losing her daughters, Pippa and Nicole. Told with deep sadness, but also with compassion, humor, and love, this deeply personal memoir serves as a beacon of hope that calls on us all to pull together and work for a better future.
