Mont Marte crack filler can be used to create a distinctive textured finish for cracks on the surface of your artwork. This opaque filler has a white base and can be applied to canvas, wood, and more.

After application, the crack patches dries, creating cracks and a network of fissures on the panel surface. Once completely dry, it can be applied to the top of the textured surface. It can be applied to a range of borders, provided it has a certain level of absorbency to facilitate bonding. The medium can be tinted with acrylic paint; however, this may affect the level of cracking once dry.

Instructions:

• Apply a thin, even layer of crack repair adhesive to your surface using a flat Taklon brush and wait for it to dry before painting.

• To get more cracks, apply acrylic paint to the surface to allow the putty to sit. Soften the surface under the putty (allowing for cracks).

• Drying time 2-3 hours (may vary)

Helpful tips:

• For results, the champion crack tops are applied to a smooth surface.
  It works best on large areas because the putty has more room to shrink and crack.

• For finer lines and a smaller crackling effect, apply the crack filler and wait for it to dry.

• For a finer crack effect, apply a layer of PVA glue to the surface and wait at least 20-30 minutes before applying the crack filler.

• Even layer of feminine acrylic for wooden surfaces

• Note: If the product is applied too quickly, it becomes "immobile" (affecting the shrinkage of the putty), preventing the cracks from being fully sealed.

• We recommend testing this method before applying it to artwork or projects.
