Insanely good is when something goes further than you expect, so much so that you get goosebumps up your arms when you see it. So imagine what that feels like to experience it. Most people (including myself, for most of my life) oscillate between bad and good. We're bad at one thing, but good at another, and when we want to achieve what we think is good, it's not really that good. What we think is good is usually only most of the time. That won't make the world better. The world is better when what we're striving to achieve is better than it ought to be. That only happens when that lightning-fast sensation of wonder runs up the spine. I hesitate to give examples; Because you may not be convinced until the end, but you will get the idea (you can find your own examples once you get the idea), and these are my personal examples: The Stones were good, but The Beatles were insanely good. Spring rain is good, but a thunderstorm is insanely good. Ringling Bros. Circus is considered to be insanely good. Cell phones were, but when Steve Jobs invented the iPhone, it became much better than expected, more attractive, and therefore insane. The painter was Monet, but Van Gogh as a painter was insane. If Elizabeth Bishop was good, Emily Dickinson as a poet was insanely good. Jack Nicholson's Joker was good, but Heath Ledger's Joker was... insane. And so on. Abundant goodness goes beyond what any of us could have anticipated, like unexpected rain falling on a barren land; so that person is not there to receive the happiness that this insanely good thing brings.
