In his forgotten library in a city reduced to ruins by war, the old writer withdraws, tired of the death surrounding him. He takes refuge in life on its shelves to embark on a metanarrative adventure that awakens the heroes of timeless novels written in distant times and geographies. Then, the Italian Giovanni Drogo emerges from the "Tatar Desert" to enter the "divinity" of the old writer, sparking discussions about the absurdity of life with the hero of "The Old Man and the Sea," the Cuban fisherman Santiago.
