Rules missed by grammarians

In front of an ocean of speech, its structures are waves, some of which are generated from others, in a movement of reproduction. If its beginning is known, its end is unknown. The rules that move the structures are latent in the texts, of which only a small amount can be perceived, hardly, if compared to an ocean of it, it is in front of a turbulent ocean covered by waves above which are waves above which are clouds. The devoted researcher, standing in the sanctuary staring at it, the sanctuary of the text, cannot pay attention to any of its marginal notes, except for some familiarity. In the face of this vast sea, the genuine researcher, seeing in speech what he sees, cannot turn away from what he sees: features of the rules of structure and features, located within the scope of perception, their rank, in a book of grammar that we aspire to, a distinguished rank, immeasurably higher than the rank of syntax. The book we are referring to with these words is a call from our minds and hearts to our emerging linguists to control their rush into grammar, avoid extremism in it, and turn away from books and pamphlets that are almost limited to it, towards a text in its luminous darkness, rules that they rush towards because they are the essence of speech, and from which they extract what can be extracted: rules that grammarians have missed.
