Presented by the publisher: God (may God bless him and grant him peace) commanded us in His Holy Book to recite the Quran with Tajweed, "reciting the Quran with proper recitation." The Tajweed system serves as a guide to improving the style of Quranic recitation. This is how the Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and this is also how he recited it. Therefore, the reader of the Holy Quran yearns to fulfill the promise of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “Whoever recites the Quran correctly and with proper reverence will be with the most excellent scribes (the angels of the Preserved Tablet).” Based on a practical understanding of phonetics, we have color-coded the positions of certain letters to facilitate the correct recitation of the Holy Quran. This has enabled us to categorize these letters into three possible categories to enhance the reader's knowledge and recall of the rules of Tajweed: letters that require extended pronunciation (we used red to highlight these); letters that are nasal (these are green); dark blue indicates the emphatic letter (R); light blue indicates the non-emphatic sound (Kawakkala); and letters that are written but not pronounced (these are gray). The reader will become accustomed to reciting the Quran using these colors, just as they are accustomed to pausing at red lights and proceeding through green lights. By engaging in this wonderful work, the reader will find themselves applying the 24 rules of Tajweed with ease and accuracy while allowing their mind to freely reflect and understand the meaning of the Holy Quran.
