Tafsir al-Sa'di (Arabic title: Taysir al-Karim al-Rahman fi Tafsir Kalam al-Mannan) is a contemporary commentary on the Holy Quran that is well-known in the Arab world. Drawing on the rich tradition of Quranic exegesis, Sheikh al-Sa'di focuses on presenting the meanings of the verses in a concise and clear style, accessible to both the experienced researcher and the casual reader. He clarifies the meanings and rulings implied by the text without elaboration or prolixity, or resorting to dubious stories and narratives, or presenting ideas unrelated to the meaning of the verses. He also avoids delving into grammatical details, except in rare instances where it may contribute to clarifying the meaning. His approach is to state what he deems correct in the interpretation, without referring to other opinions, except in cases where there is strong evidence to support the opposing view.
