This condensed edition of Sahih al-Bukhari is accompanied by the Arabic text and a corresponding English translation.
All Muslim scholars agree that Sahih al-Bukhari is the most authentic book after the Holy Qur'an. The summary of al-Bukhari has been condensed to approximately 1,000 pages, selecting some hadiths from the original volume (nine volumes) of approximately 4,000 pages. This book contains approximately 2,220 hadiths. Most of the duplicate hadiths from various sources (with minor variations) have been removed, and only one hadith has been retained.
In his book "Sahih al-Bukhari," Imam al-Bukhari documented all the hadiths of the Prophet that he found authentic after meticulous research and scrutiny. He spent sixteen years researching and studying more than sixty thousand hadiths, from which he selected approximately 7,275, proving their authenticity and accuracy beyond doubt. After eliminating duplicate hadiths, his collection contains approximately four thousand distinct hadiths.
The text used in this summary is based on Imam Zayn al-Din Ahmad ibn Ahmad al-Sharji al-Zubaidi (d. 893), author of the concise book “Al-Tajreed al-Saheeh”.
