The English interpretation of the meanings of the Holy Quran by Dr. Muhammad Taqi al-Din al-Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan is the fruit of the tremendous effort made by the tireless team at Darussalam to help people around the world understand the Holy Quran.
This high-quality Qur'an features Arabic text printed in Uthmani script on the right side and an English translation on the left side of each page. A comprehensive commentary and explanation of the verses (tafsir) is printed as footnotes at the bottom of the page. The tafsir is actually an abridged version of al-Tabari, al-Qurtubi, and Ibn Kathir and includes relevant commentaries from Sahih al-Bukhari.
At the end of this compilation is an index of the surahs and a list of the places of prostration and the prophets mentioned in the Quran. These lists are followed by a comprehensive glossary, and there are also comprehensive notes at the end on topics such as why God sent prophets and messengers, Tawhid (Islamic monotheism), Shahada (the Muslim confession), Shirk (polytheism and unbelief), Hypocrisy (hypocrisy and its various manifestations), and a detailed note on Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them) in the Bible and Quran (biblical evidence that Jesus was a servant of God and had no share in divinity).
