The Misers by Salah Fadl... In his book, Al-Jahiz depicted the misers whom he met and got to know in his own environment, especially in the town of Marv, the capital of Khorasan. Al-Jahiz depicted the misers in a realistic, sensual, psychological, and humorous manner. He highlighted their movements, their anxious or reassured looks, and their psychological whims. He exposed their secrets and the hidden aspects of their homes, and informed us of their various conversations. He showed us their psychology and all their conditions, but he does not make us hate them because they do not leave a bad impression on our souls.
