A religion should not be judged by the opinions and attitudes of its biased opponents. Nor should it be judged by the behavior of some of its nominal followers. There are bad people among every religious sect, and judging such people based on them is misleading, as they may contradict their faith. Any religion should be judged by its teachings and the effects of these teachings on its true followers. Since the Bible is the foundation of Christianity, and the Qur'an is the primary source of Islamic law and jurisprudence, this book compares Islam and Christianity through a comparative study of the Bible and the Qur'an. This approach ensures that the comparison is based on facts, not bias or misunderstanding. It should be noted that when this book discusses Islam, it does not present exaggerated or inaccurate information to convince the reader; rather, it presents its true teachings. Everything mentioned in this book about Islam is supported by verses from the Qur'an, which was revealed nearly 1,400 years ago. Likewise, everything mentioned about Christianity is supported by verses from the Bible.
The purpose of this book
The purpose of this book is to achieve the following objectives using the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophets (peace be upon them) that have survived in the Holy Bible, with the help of common sense, reason, and thought:
Affirming that the Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) was a great messenger from God, that he was the Messiah, that he was given the Gospel, that he was born miraculously without a father, that he gave life to the dead by God’s permission, and that he healed a child who was born blind and leprous by God’s permission.
