In a world dominated by masks and driven by hidden intentions to control and direct others in order to achieve one’s desires and goals, the subject of manipulation appears to us as an inevitable reality in order to protect oneself from harm and in order to understand ourselves and our behavior. We are all victims of manipulation and practitioners of it in our social relationships, among friends, and even at work. We resort to manipulation to get what we want, and often this happens without our awareness. If you want to convince a friend to go shopping with you, you will automatically use all the tools available to you. You will remind him of what you did for him. You will present him with arguments that make it clear that the matter will be quick and enjoyable, and perhaps you will change the tone of your voice and facial features to entice him and stir his feelings.
