Scholars have classified morphology into long and short, prose and poetry.
Among the concise poems is the poem of Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Malik (d. 672 AH), in which he composed a summary of what the ancients had collected of the weights and meanings of the words of the Arabic language, and it became famous as “Lamiyyat al-Af’al.”
Due to its importance, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdul Mohsen bin Muhammad Al-Qasim verified it, relying on precious handwritten copies, so that it would appear as its composer had placed it, and he included it among the additional texts from the series: “Texts for the Student of Knowledge,” which he verified based on more than one thousand five hundred (1500) manuscripts.
We ask God Almighty to benefit from it and make it purely for His sake.
