A Research in the Prophet's Biography

The book on the biography of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was first published as a research paper by Sheikh Safiur Rahman. It was submitted by him as a participant in the competition organized by the Muslim World League on the Noble Prophetic Biography, which was announced at the League's conference in Pakistan in 1396 AH. The results were announced in Sha'ban 1398 AH, where the research won first place among 171 submitted entries. The awards were presented at the conference in Makkah in 1399 AH. The General Secretariat of the League volunteered to print and publish the winning entry, which then became this book, and its editions have continued ever since. Mubarakpuri says about it: "And Allah decreed for this book a writing that I did not need at the time, for it won first place in October, and both the general and specific public received it with such enthusiasm that it is gratifying."
