Explanation of the Tahawi Creed

Many books have been written to explain and clarify the creed of the Salaf. For example, Imam Abu Ja`far Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Tahawi, who died in 322 AH, wrote a treatise explaining the creed of the righteous predecessors, may God be pleased with him. He included in it what every Muslim needs to know, such as issues of monotheism, the attributes, predestination, prophethood, resurrection, and other issues of belief, in the manner of the people of the Sunnah and the community of the righteous predecessors, the people of the three centuries, whose actions are attested to. More than one scholar has undertaken to explain it, but we find that the best of these explanations and the one that best matches the methodology of the righteous predecessors is the explanation of the scholar Ibn Abi al-`Izz, which we place in the hands of the readers, thoroughly verified.
