Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khudair's explanation of Ibn Abi Dawood's poem Al-Ha'iyya
Al-Manzouma Al-Ha'iyya; a beautiful Sunni poem by Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr ibn Abi Dawud Al-Sijistani, which includes the most important issues of faith, in which disagreements arose between the Sunnis and their opponents among the people of innovations. In it, he clarified the correct belief, urged adherence to the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and warned against innovations and their people. He explained that the Qur'an is the speech of Allah and is not created, and that seeing Allah is real. He affirmed the attributes with which Allah described Himself, including the two hands for Allah and the attribute of descent, and denied the how of these attributes. He also explained the virtues of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, and explained belief in predestination and the Last Day. He warned against the Khawarij and the innovation of Irja'. He defined faith and called for a return to the Qur'an and the Sunnah and abandoning personal opinions.
