How do you revere a successful man to the point of sanctification? How do you elevate a man who kills thousands?
If I am evil and you fight me with evil means, you will become evil too, no matter how good you feel you are. If I am a brutal man and you use brutal methods to overcome me, you will become brutal like me. This is what we have been doing for thousands of years, but there is a different approach than meeting hatred with hatred. Because if I use violent methods to suppress the anger within me, I am using the wrong means to achieve a good end, and therefore there will be no such good end. We created the enemy and the bandits, and we ourselves became the enemy by not ending the hostility. We must understand the cause of the hostility and stop feeding it with our thoughts, feelings, and actions. This is a difficult task that requires constant self-awareness and intelligent flexibility, because we are the society and the state.
Enemy and friend are the result of our thoughts and actions, and we are responsible for this state of enmity. Therefore, it is important to be more aware of our thoughts and actions than to care about enemy and friend. Correct thinking puts an end to division, and only love transcends friend and enemy.
