Have you ever thought about why the British drive on the left, while most other countries drive on the right? Have you ever thought about the person behind this invention while looking at your watch? Have you ever wondered how the ancients brushed their teeth?
In this book, we will attempt to answer all these questions. We will present interesting information and strange facts from human history, both ancient and modern. We have sought to create a variety of topics so that the reader does not get bored, from the history of the treadmill, to the Anastasia puzzle, to the story of the Rubik's Cube, passing through the Siamese twins, then to the cities where death is forbidden, and finally the story of the most famous perfume in the world.
In the texts presented in this book, we have relied on translations from more than one source, from both English and French. Consequently, each article is a composite translation of two or more articles. This is in an attempt to present a coherent and integrated Arabic text that largely answers the reader's questions and satisfies their curiosity. What prompted us to adopt this translation method is our attempt to gather the most important information available on a given topic, with the aim of covering all its aspects and conveying the information directly to the reader, without falling into prolixity and detail, which might lose the idea.
Therefore, we hope that this book will bring both benefit and enjoyment to its reader, and that it will open the way for new questions that will motivate the reader to continue the research we have begun in these pages.
