I will tell you a sad story about a man who worked like a slave, toiling and exerting himself to amass a fortune out of greed for money, and it was never enough. Until he achieved his goal, which made him euphoric with happiness, until a plague ravaged his town, leaving him alone and miserable, as he lost his loved ones a week after the outbreak of this plague. The value of money diminished in his eyes after this painful incident he experienced, which made him realize that his happiness was not due to money itself, but to the spiritual contentment he gained when he saw the joy his family experienced from the provision of pleasures and delightful things due to his generosity and abundance. The moral of this is that money has no material value; if its spiritual value is enslaved, it becomes like garbage. This applies to all material things without exception, no matter how big or small, great or insignificant. Crowns and scepters, pennies and fake jewelry, village fame and global fame, all are equally without material value. If they bring you spiritual satisfaction, they are valuable in your eyes. And if they fail to achieve this satisfaction, they lose their value.
