Author's name: Fayhan Al-Sawwagh

It contains practical applications of the most famous meters of popular poetry in the Gulf. Al-Sawagh confirmed in an interview with "Fi Wa Hajir" that the idea behind publishing the book is primarily educational for beginners in the world of writing popular poetry. He tried to shorten the distance and time for them by summarizing the idea of Khaliliya meters and eliminating everything unrelated to popular poetry, arriving at six forms or feet and three vocal pauses, which is the essence of the idea. Whoever masters them will master writing in all poetic meters with ease. He said that the subject has nothing to do with teaching poetry, but rather teaches the structure of the poem in terms of meter and rhyme only, as some poets or critics confuse me by saying that I teach poetry, and this is far from the idea because poetry is in the meanings, and I only train beginners in meter and rhyme. Regarding how the idea of publishing the book came about, Al-Sawagh said: "Years ago, we ran a course in Anhar magazine, but it stopped. Years later, with the development of social media, some friends asked me to publish it on Twitter as lessons. Then I started organizing the idea on my personal account for a year, after which the book was published for everyone without specifying its literary level." Especially since the interaction is very large and huge compared to the segment I address. I started through Twitter, and the followers increased quickly despite the small number because everyone appreciates the work, and thank God, with the cooperation of some distinguished people who spread the account and the support of poets, both male and female, the beginner got to know me and the account and found what he was looking for in phonetic division, which he has today through the book. Al-Sawwagh concluded his speech by directing a message to beginners in writing poetry, saying: Every poet started as a beginner, then developed himself, learned and read until he became what you see him doing today. Be like him, learn the meter and start with one meter, then move on after mastering it to another.
