On rose petals, Al-Rafei scatters drops of the dew of love mixed with the fragrance of his two beloveds' beauty in his book, a collection of thoughts scattered throughout the philosophy of love and beauty he created. This collection describes one of his own states and establishes a new history in the lines of his life, entitled Letters from a Lover to His Two Beloveds. Al-Rafei indicated that he did not devote these letters to his first beloved, but rather included with them his Lebanese lover, from whose beauty he derived the words of his book, "Hadith Al-Qamar." In this book, he blends the philosophy of love with the Sufi outlook in seeking that love, and carries through it a creative energy that depicts the eloquence of the art of composition in describing the language of emotional love. In this work, Al-Rafei combines the talent of the writer who formulates his feelings and emotions and deposits them in an artistic mold, and the logic of the philosopher who believes that the pinnacle of logic in love lies within its mentality.
