A loose heart; let your heart be as loose as a large, comfortable cloak, one that doesn't feel heavy or constrict you in any way, just a free heart without artificial walls. The heart is greater than just a four-chambered muscle pumping blood to your extremities. It is greater than a place to hide, greater than a box to curl up in and hide from people. It is greater than a warehouse for unwanted feelings, greater than a trash can for the remnants of the past. It is not a hiding place for the pain we cannot express publicly, not a land where we expend effort on feelings that hurt us and exhaust those around us. Let your heart be your source that radiates your beauty, let it be the home of your strength and wisdom, let it be your guide and companion on the long journey, let it be sacred, for God reigns near it. Don't let your treasure be buried within you alone. Inspire the world with it. Create through it the good you believe in. Each of us lives his own battle and different circumstances. Let your heart be your partner and savior. I believe that hearts hold all the answers... all the solutions... We just need to take good care of them, in the way we feel and in the way we don't feel. Protect them from harmful reactions and the blow of sudden events. From fruitless sorrows that bring no comfort. Let your heart be the way you want it to receive God.
