The book contains brief biographies of some of the Companions who accompanied the Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - on his journey of conveying the message. At the beginning of the book, I talked about the concept of heroism and its five pillars. These include: * Firmness of faith, as it is the force that dominates thought, feelings and determination, and protects the individual in times of calamity. * The hero must be endowed with courage, as there is no heroism without supreme courage possessed by its owner. * Among the characteristics that a hero must possess: steadfast determination, both immediate and deferred, as it is the strength that God Almighty has bestowed upon man to control his desires and regulate his movements.
