About the book "Half Burger" Maryam is a young Arab girl, ambitious and successful, with many dreams and desires, as well as a lot of love, passion and those memories that fall asleep on her pillow every night, gathered together in the papers and words of her diary, taking her back to the past where everything that happened with (Saif) "Half Burger" is a novel that tells the story of an Iraqi expatriate girl living between the Emirates and Britain in the capital, London. Maryam loves a married man, then separates from him and goes through a period of forgetting and healing with several characters from different countries and cultures who tell her their stories and experiences. The novel weaves its threads from those stories, linked by cultural and societal dimensions and social phenomena, to tell us about all relationships that begin and end with love. But what are the reasons that make us love? And persevere after love and become who we are?! The novel also focuses on the being of women, the mentality of men, and the way of love for both of them and dealing with surrounding circumstances based on an Eastern mentality and the culture of logic, society, and right and wrong. The novel takes place in different time periods, sometimes going back to the past and sometimes returning to the present. This is done through Maryam's diary. Maryam talks about the UAE, the country where she was raised and grew up, which she loves and belongs to because she has known no other. She yearns for Iraq, her motherland, which she left at an age when she had no choice in it. She left it early, leaving a part of herself behind.
