Tafsir al-Sa'di is an exegesis that focuses on clarifying the intended meaning of a verse in a clear, concise manner, while mentioning the meanings or rulings contained within the verse, whether explicit or implicit. It avoids digressions, mentioning stories, Isra'iliyat (Judeo-Christian traditions), narrating sayings that deviate from the intended meaning, or discussing types of grammatical analysis, unless the meaning depends on it. It emphasizes solidifying the Salafi creed, turning to God, deriving Islamic rulings, jurisprudential principles, legal benefits, and Quranic guidance, in addition to other benefits which he may occasionally elaborate on. In his exegesis, he pays attention to the verses of attributes, interpreting them according to the belief of Ahl al-Sunnah.
