Al-Wafi fi Sharh al-Shatibiyya fi al-Qira’at al-Sab’ is a concise commentary on the Lamiyya of Abu al-Qasim Ibn Firruh al-Shatibi (d. 590 AH), famously known as al-Shatibiyya, in which he solved its symbols, highlighted its treasures, unlocked its secrets, restricted its absolutes, detailed its generalities, clarified its problems, removed its ambiguities, unveiled its expressions, and revealed its allusions, in a distinctive, modern style, with excellent arrangement, clarity, and focus, along with ease of access. The book is characterized by its precise expression and eloquent language. It was written for students of Al-Azhar institutes in Egypt, and for other students of Quranic recitation institutes who were required to study the text of Al-Shatibiyyah. This book is by the renowned scholar, Abd Al-Fattah Al-Qadi (may God have mercy on him).
