 This book is the second part of the book (Introduction to the History of Ancient Civilizations) by Taha Baqir, where the first part was devoted to the history of ancient Iraq from the most distant prehistoric eras to the end of the Sassanian era, i.e. the beginning of the Arab Islamic conquest.
The second part is devoted to the "Nile Valley Civilization" and includes: the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant - some ancient civilizations and nations - Iran, Alexander and the Seleucids - Greece and the Romans.
The importance of this book stems from its adherence to a school curriculum, in which the author has prioritized its use as a comprehensive introduction to ancient civilizations and cultures, serving as a primary reference on this subject for researchers and students alike.
The book (Part Two) of the book (Introduction to the History of Civilizations) consists of five sections distributed over nineteen chapters: The first section discussed (the civilization of the Nile Valley). The second section discussed (the history of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant). The third section (a brief history of some ancient civilizations and nations). The fourth section discussed (the countries of Iran) and among them (the Miletus - the Persians and the Achaemenids - Alexander and the Seleucids - the Grecians - the Sassanids). The fifth and final section provided a brief history of (Greece and Rome) and shed light on the Hellenistic (Greek) civilization and (Roman civilization).
This book is an important encyclopedia of the history of ancient civilizations, their most important pioneers, kings, scholars, philosophers, beliefs, and even their geography and extension throughout the ages.
