One of the miracles of the Holy Quran is that it contains profound meanings, beyond the capacity of human intellect to fully comprehend and beyond the grasp of worldly means. The words of the Quran are the very essence and core of Arabic speech, upon which jurists and sages have relied in their rulings and judgments. This book is a comprehensive work on the vocabulary of the Holy Quran, arranged alphabetically, focusing on the initial letters of each root word, excluding any prefixes or suffixes. It also indicates the connections between borrowed and derived words, thus serving as a dictionary. In it, the scholar al-Raghib al-Isfahani explored the words and vocabulary of the Holy Quran, combining linguistic expressions with their Quranic meanings. He arranged the vocabulary alphabetically, and his aim was not merely to explain unfamiliar words in the Quran, but rather to address most of its vocabulary, drawing upon numerous Quranic verses, Prophetic traditions, proverbs, and the sources of Quranic verses and hadiths.
