This book consists of lectures prepared as lessons and reviews for an interdisciplinary academic course in the programs of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, namely: History, Philosophy and Social Sciences. In the lessons of this course, students from multiple and interdisciplinary fields came together, interacting with each other about ideas, theories, concepts, experiences and methodologies, which in turn were distributed across philosophical, historical, social and political knowledge and fields that had been witnessed in paths in world history, from the Greek experience represented by Aristotle the philosopher and Thucydides the historian, to the contemporary experience represented by the historian-philosopher Michel Foucault, who combined Nietzsche’s genealogical philosophy and the historicism of the French Annales School, passing through the classical Arab experience represented by Miskawayh and Ibn Khaldun.
