They are short sentences, all rushed. It is as if the novelist is trying to strip emotions from life without introductions and tends towards direct writing, which has led critics to consider her writing independent of the narrative text, and isolated from it.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
