The wives of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, are the jewels of the House of Prophethood. They had stories and situations that we must learn from, understand, and take lessons from. Each jewel had a beautiful nickname. Among them was a jewel called “the pure one,” another called “the mother of the poor,” a jewel who was a scholar of medicine, and jewels who suffered at the beginning of Islam during the two migrations to Abyssinia. Their lives were filled with giving, patience, generosity, love, and chastity.
This book contains a summary of the biographies of the Mothers of the Believers, a brief overview of their lives and the stages of their marriages, and the true meaning of the Prophet's marriages to them. Sometimes his marriages carried a new law, sometimes they resolved a problem, sometimes they established a recommended custom, and sometimes they were in honor of a husband who had been martyred in a raid or battle.
Polygamy in that era was considered a noble sacrifice and a sublime message. It was a great life with the one who planted and instilled the first horse in Islam.
