I really want to pray

“I no longer feel anything in my prayers. They have become mere movements that I perform. No pleasure, no reverence. Nothing. I don’t remember what I read in them, nor what the imam read. I have lost the warmth of faith, and my heart has become like December, cold, desolate, and gloomy.”

I know that I am committing something serious, but my will does not obey my knowledge. I find myself shackled by dozens of small details that delay me or even prevent me.”

Until we reach the point where... "I no longer find meaning in my prayers; I've lost the spirit and the purpose. I don't want to deceive myself... I've become disconnected from them." We hear these statements in different forms, sometimes with this clarity and directness, and sometimes in other forms that are closer or further removed. People close to you might say them, and you might experience some of this yourself at times. No one is immune... we are all susceptible to it.

This book is an attempt to find the reasons behind what many people are experiencing and suffering... And after identifying the reasons, there is an attempt to eliminate them... to salvage what can be salvaged...
