The story ends with the image of a self-mocking man, a futile martyr, embodying the tragedy of a person who sacrifices himself to please others, making people laugh, while remaining the sole loser.
"The Honest Thief" tells the story of an alcoholic man named Emelyan Ilyich, who stole the trousers of a landlord, but in his final moments, he confesses his mistake and shows his true remorse. The story is a deep psychological and human study of guilt, repentance, and the contradiction between evil and conscience in the human soul.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
