What if the first wound we feel is inherited from those we loved? Sometimes we are born burdened with responsibilities whose origins we don't know, shackled by constraints we didn't choose, bearing scars we didn't create, reminding us of stories in which we weren't the protagonists. As a psychologist, she conducts a pivotal research project, experiencing firsthand the stories of pain that begin within homes, where love is sometimes conditional, violence takes countless forms, and trauma is sown in childhood to take root deep within the soul. During her research, she hears voices the world tried to silence, but she chose to listen, determinedly turning a deaf ear to the harm inflicted by her mother, who suffers from narcissistic personality disorder. Along her journey, she discovers her fears: she fears love, marriage, having children, the very idea of ​​commitment, despite having a perfect lover who adores her. She also discovers that to write her story, it must be different from all previous stories—for her story is built upon heartbreak.
