Through the daily accounts of the coup that befell the lives of Egyptian, Kuwaiti, and other Arab families, the novel, replete with events unfolding under the yoke of occupation in Kuwait, moves between Arab and foreign capitals, following the leaders of countries in a frantic race against time, then the escape adventures of a unique group of people striving to save their lives amidst difficult and exciting circumstances.
