A 72-year-old psychiatrist counts the days until his retirement. He lives alone in his childhood home and has no friends or family. He is exhausted and indifferent to everything around him, to the point where he barely listens to his patients. He often resorts to drawing caricatures of birds for his patients instead of taking notes. However, his encounter with a young German woman who insists on undergoing therapy with him turns his life upside down. He soon realizes that beneath her fragile exterior lies a strong and remarkable woman. The doctor conducts therapy sessions for Agatha, and together they undergo a therapeutic course, discovering a lot about themselves, mental illnesses, especially schizophrenia. A very complex relationship develops between them, forcing the doctor to confront his fear of knowing the world outside his clinic and ultimately changing his outlook on life.
