The book "And We Triumphed - From the Archives of the Egyptian Press" includes excerpts from the great journalistic efforts made by the Egyptian press during the period from October 4, 1973 to October 26, 1973. This period was at the pinnacle of sincerity, humanity, and dedication among all segments of the Egyptian people. No matter how much effort is exerted to document the heroism of Egypt's leaders and soldiers, and the nobility, sincerity, and sacrifice of the great Egyptian people, this research and documentation will never end, so that this honorable period will remain in Egypt's glorious history.

We are republishing some of what was previously published in the Egyptian press 51 years ago about that period and its events, out of our belief in the necessity of providing research and documentary material about that era and its trajectories, for the benefit of those interested and researchers, and to instill in the memory of generations who did not witness those days some of the features of that great victory.

In the end, it is impossible to describe the feelings of gratitude and appreciation I feel for the Egyptian people, the leaders who planned and executed this mission, and the soldiers who sacrificed their lives, devoting their efforts and devotion to God Almighty and to a firm belief and cause that cannot be tampered with. All books, films, and documentary materials fall short of conveying the magnitude of this heroism and sacrifice, but attempts at documentation and narration remain imperative.
