The Pearls System in Explaining the Book of Al-Mukhtasar

The book “Manzum Al-Durar fi Sharh Kitab Al-Mukhtasar” by the eminent jurist “Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Al-Fakhar Al-Judhami Al-Arkushi Al-Sharishi Al-Malaki (d. 723 AH)” is considered one of the most famous commentaries that focused on highlighting the secrets of “Al-Mukhtasar Al-Talaitili” and clarifying its mysteries, simplifying its issues, and simplifying its meanings.

The author has limited himself to the general fiqh chapters that the author of Al-Mukhtasar dealt with, which are the rulings on acts of worship such as purification, prayer, zakat, fasting, Hajj and others, and some rulings on transactions such as usury and some types of sale, adhering to what is established in the Maliki school of thought, keen to establish the well-known in it, and to cite the sayings of the great jurists of the school, mentioning the fiqh and fundamental principles, and what the fiqh craft requires. The author did not neglect to establish the foundations of the fiqh issues explained and to cite them with texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
