One of the most important texts in the science of grammar and language rules is (Ibn Malik's Alfiyya), which contains more than a thousand verses, and it has been received by scholars
It was accepted, memorized, and explained, until its commentaries reached 127, the most important of which is the commentary of the scholar Al-Ashmuni. Scholars have paid attention to it.
Among them were al-Sabban, who wrote a rich commentary on it, and al-Ayni, who explained its poetic evidence.

Al-Ashmuni adopted a middle ground approach in his explanation, between brevity and length, beginning with a solution to the riddle of the verse in words, then explaining it with supporting evidence, and adding explanatory comments in the margins.
