Musnad of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, known as Al-Musnad, is one of the most famous and comprehensive books of Prophetic hadith, and it occupies a prominent position among the Sunnis, as it is considered one of the main sources of hadith for them. It is the most famous of the Musnads, and hadith scholars have placed it in third place after the Two Sahihs and the Four Sunans. It is attributed to Imam Abu Abdullah Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal Al-Shaybani Al-Dhuhli (164 AH - 241 AH / 780 - 855 AD). According to the estimates of the hadith scholars, it contains approximately 40,000 Prophetic hadiths, of which about 10,000 are repeated, arranged according to the names of the Companions who narrated the hadiths. He arranged it by placing the narrations of each Companion in one place. The number of Companions who have Musnads is 904 Companions. The book is divided into eighteen Musnads, the first of which is the Musnad of the Ten Promised Paradise, and the last is the Musnad of the Women. It contains many authentic hadiths that are not found in the Two Sahihs.
