The Garden of Lights in the Biography of the Chosen Prophet is a book on the Prophet's biography, authored by Imam Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri (1943-2006). The book is considered a concise biography of the Messenger, neither excessively detailed nor overly brief. The author drew his material from the Holy Quran and reliable interpretations, then from books of Sunnah and Sirah [1]. Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri stated in the introduction to his book: "Some brothers suggested that I write a new book of moderate size, compiling what is established and recognized by the imams of this field, while considering the level of beginners and general students, avoiding injustice and deviation. So I sought success and guidance from Allah and began the requested work, drawing from the Holy Quran and its authoritative interpretations, then from books of Sunnah and Sirah, and benefiting from the internal clues and testimonies found therein, and the external testimonies surrounding them. I preferred to use wording taken from narrations and the words of early scholars as much as possible, with conciseness and selection. I hope that I have fulfilled the requirement to a reasonable extent, and I pray to Allah Almighty to benefit Muslims with it and make it purely for His noble sake."
