Quantum Physics and Human Knowledge

Niels Bohr, the renowned Danish scientist, is one of the founding fathers of quantum mechanics. He was the first to introduce the planetary model in understanding the atom. However, his personal ingenuity did not stop at his explanation of the hydrogen atom's spectrum and his conception of electron orbits around the atomic nucleus. He also left behind a large body of work in which he discussed many ideas and philosophies behind the monumental work known as quantum mechanics. Among these issues was what became known as the Copenhagen interpretation. Here, we find that he dedicated a large space to discussing it, brilliantly refuting the reasons that led to it and disentangling it from classical physics concepts. In browsing this book, we are inspired by the famous quote from the great scientist Maxwell: (It is useful for researchers in any field to read its history, for science is best understood in its infancy). And the researcher in quantum physics is fortunate with all this legacy left to us by Niels Bohr, which helps us understand many of the experimental and philosophical problems that this science faced in its infancy, a science that is gaining momentum day by day in light of the tremendous development in observation and experimental technology.
