The Chemistry of Prayer 5/1

The author delves into the depths of the prayer’s forms, deducing their connotations and meanings. Standing means rising up, that we do our part so that the entire nation becomes a “standing nation.” In standing, we place the right hand on the left. What meanings do we understand from this? As for bowing, it is lowering the head, but it is an act specific to humans alone, making their minds subservient to the project with which God has charged them. Then we stop with the prostration of prayer. It is the prostration of will. But what is the relationship between the first prostration that God Almighty commanded the angels to perform when He created Adam and our prostration in prayer? How can the summit be on the ground? How does prostration bring us closer to our reality... closer to the womb of the earth, as if we will be created anew, as if prostration will reshape us anew.
