This book comes as part of an endeavor to restore the standing of philosophy and its role in enlightening the mind, or rather, in shaping, developing, and motivating the Arab individual to learn and work diligently after refining their inherent intellectual faculties, which were a gift from the Great Creator. This book expresses a sincere desire, we believe, to reveal the face of truth and uncover the fruits of modern philosophy, which was founded on reason, respect for humanity, and the pursuit of knowledge and learning, whether applied or theoretical. It is a work of historical account and analysis, critique and appreciation. The reader will find a combination of the autobiographies of philosophers and summaries of their doctrines, along with philosophical explanations where needed. We believe this book is very useful for anyone interested in learning philosophy or a beginner in its study, as well as for the reader who wants to learn something new they didn't know before. To these individuals, we address this book, which we have tried to simplify as much as possible, though it does contain an academic style that was sometimes necessary.
