Lieutenant General Mohamed Fawzy (1915-2000) was a unique war commander, with an experience that will never be repeated in Egyptian military history. Thousands of Egyptian army officers graduated under his tutelage when he served as Director of the Military College. President Abdel Nasser appointed him Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Army and Minister of War, tasking him with reorganizing, equipping, and training the armed forces after the June 1967 War.
