Everything was cold and devoid of excitement until the moment I decided to rebel against my frustrating path and create something extraordinary that would free me from the hell of emptiness. From the moment I set foot on the wooden boat dancing on the shore on a moonless autumn night, my life became an improvised succession of exceptional situations. I embarked on one adventure after another and put my life in danger more than once. I came close to death by drowning, made myself a fugitive from justice, and almost descended into the world of crime. I often found myself wishing I could return to my monotonous, excitement-free life. I feared that I would die alone and homeless in a forgotten corner.
I was afraid I had traded my normal life for nothing.
