The commentary of Ibn Kathir is considered one of the finest, most accurate, and most insightful commentaries. In his work, Ibn Kathir meticulously interpreted the Quran by first interpreting it with the Quran itself, then with authentic hadiths that clarified the Quran, and finally by citing numerous interpretations from early scholars. He was careful to include hadiths with their chains of narration and to explain the weaknesses of those that were considered weak. However, he was particularly meticulous in citing authentic hadiths , thus making his commentary an instructive work of immense benefit and profound value.
