The Fitnat Al-Ghufran by Hamoud Al-Shaiji... In light of the difficult circumstances facing our people in Gaza, where innocent families suffer from a severe shortage of basic necessities, Dar Al-Ain and novelist Hamoud Al-Shaiji announce that the proceeds from the novel "The Fitnat Al-Ghufran" will be allocated to aid the victims of Gaza. An agreement was reached between Dar Al-Ain, Dr. Fatima Al-Budi, and the novelist that a portion of the proceeds from the novel "The Fitnat Al-Ghufran" will be allocated to aid the victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. It is worth noting that the novel "The Fitnat Al-Ghufran" offers a new and exciting look at the life of the Arab poet and philosopher Abu Al-Ala Al-Ma'arri. The novel explores the complex and hidden aspects behind his writing of his famous epistle "The Epistle of Forgiveness." It also follows Al-Ma'arri's life from his birth in Ma'arrat al-Nu'man in 363 AH until his death in the same city in 449 AH. The novel sheds light on Al-Ma'arri's personal, intellectual, and psychological transformations, and recounts his ongoing journey in search of knowledge and understanding. The novel also reveals the complex relationship between Al-Ma'arri and the Al-Maghribi family, and how this relationship influenced his life and writing. The novel did not neglect to narrate the social, political, philosophical and ideological life and the emergence of many intellectual movements, some moderate and others extremist and hardline in several cities on the Arab-Islamic map at that time, such as: Baghdad, Aleppo, Cairo, Tabriz and others, which gives important glimpses into the nature of the environment that surrounded Al-Ma'arri and contributed to the course of his life with all its controversies and manifestations.
