Wedad, by Suham Badawi... Wedad's laughter appears more clearly through her shadows. Her shadows extend onto the walls around her, sprinkling her silence with joy and noise. Wedad's sight is fixed on her shadow reflected on those walls, a shadow with the same short hair, chiseled facial features, excessive movement, and quick, repeated glances, but her stature changes with time. Wedad's shadows rebel against stillness. She only connects to her through her feet, but she is independent, has other ambitions, and follows her whims. Wedad's shadows do not end with turning off the light source. She is fickle, moody, capricious, and impulsive, withdrawing whenever she wants. The most dangerous of them are the shadows of her voices. Nothing satisfies these voices and shadows, they cannot be aimed and hit, so they became free to seek, multiple versions of the original: "Wedad".
